Precision Medicine- Multiomics
Given the desire to tailor treatments to an individual patient's needs, this hub makes use of available genomic, proteomic, microbiome, patient-reported outcomes measures, and other data to enhance care. It aims to also analyze and synthesize data to inform clinical decisions and treatments.
The Sheba Cancer Research Center provides advanced genomic and bioinformatic analysis services that are available to clinicians and researchers from medical centers and academic institutions. The services are offered to start ups and established pharma companies in Israel and abroad.
The Cancer Research Center laboratories operate the most advanced sequencing platforms including several Illumina sequencers and the Pac Bio Sequel II that enables single molecule long read sequencing.
The center performs exome, whole genome and transcriptome sequencing, as well as analysis of gene panels and single cell transcriptomics. The center also provides proteomics services. An additional unique capability is the study of RNA and DNA global methylation analysis that allows the whole transcriptome mapping of RNA m6A and genome wide 5mC modifications. A service for the identification and quantification of a variety of RNA modifications using mass spectrometry is also available.
